New Inn, Batcombe was a complete renovation of a 200-year-old character property, transforming a tired historic building into a modern, comfortable family home while carefully retaining its original charm and features.

The project involved extensive structural works, internal reconfiguration and a full refurbishment throughout. Particular care was taken to respect the age and traditional construction of the property, combining proven building techniques with modern upgrades to meet today’s living standards.

Works included a full internal renovation, upgrading of services, plastering, kitchen and bathroom installations, and improvements to the building’s thermal performance. Where possible, renewable and energy-efficient solutions were incorporated to enhance efficiency while remaining sympathetic to the original structure.
